This first one is of a mountain scene that I took when I was the Junior Assistant Scoutmaster several years ago.
When I saw this photograph, I knew it would look best in black and white, but I didn't have any black and white film with me, so the original is in color. But I am sure many would agree that the black and white version shown below is better.
This photograph was taken under the natural lights of the walk way for the entrance to Hayden Library on the Arizona State University campus. The entrance itself is underground. The "Lighthouse" in the center opens up into the area above the lobby in the library.
